Theory of Information Coherence and Complexity

During the last twenty years, the notions of quantum entanglement and coherence have returned to the forefront, specially because of the theoretical and experimental expansion of the quantum information domain. Inspired by Shannon’s classical theory, the concept of quantum entropy combined with recently developed intrication measurements allows us to better quantify what appears today not only as a phenomenon but as a resource for quantum calculations and Communications.

The group (ETICC) works on this topic of entanglement from different theoretical angles: creation and dynamics of coherence in atomic systems, relation between quantum entanglement and chaotic classical dynamics , as well as the use of entanglement in quantum communication.
