Quantum opto-mechanics in phononic nano-cavity

Electromechanics and quantum optomechanics are areas in full development with potential applications in quantum information. Our goal is the development of electromechanical and optomechanical quantum devices likely to provide a complete control of the quantum state of a mechanical resonator.

The current search topics of the team are:
– Development of acoustic and photonic nano-cavities.
– Cooling of mechanical nano-resonators to the quantum ground state with the feedback of the light.
– Creation of non-classical states of mechanical resonators.
Coupling of mechanical resonators to superconducting qubits
