The Molecular Nano Devices (MND) axis of the Institute of Molecular Sciences of Orsay (ISMO) studies and designs atomic or molecular devices on semiconductor surfaces with the possibility of having quantum functions (bistability, atomic memory , Interaction between qubit) that we study and exploit using scanning probe microscopy techniques. The electronic and / or optical excitation of these devices makes it possible to manipulate their position on the functionalized support surface and their electronic states. The modeling of these devices by numerical simulations makes it possible to study and realize particularly pertinent quantum arrangements.
