The field of our research is superconducting mesoscopic physics. Josephson junction tools are being developed to probe condensed matter systems. We develop a very sensitive “on-chip” spectrometer wich allows to probe the energy levels of mesoscopic systems in the 1-1000 GHz energy range. This tool is quantum in the sense that the absorption of a photon emitted by the spectrometer causes the passage of a discrete charge (2e) to the detector. We use this spectrometer to determine the spectrum of diverse systems such as superconducting nanowires epitaxies, weak multi-terminal links, and topological quantum circuits. A second project is the development of a perfect voltage source (fluctuations less than 1 pV) adjustable in the range of 10-200 microvolt. This source, adapted from existing Josephson voltage standards, will allow not only to improve the performence of our spectrometer, but could be used for superconducting quantum information domains.
