Electron spectroscopy in low-dimensional systems

Part of the team’s activities focus on low-dimensional systems such as surfaces, interfaces and nanostructures, where we study the relation between electronic properties and structure at the atomic or nanometric level. We are particularly interested to the effects of quantum confinement or superperiodicities. The techniques used are microscopies, diffraction techniques and especially electron spectroscopies, such as photoemission or spin-resolved inverse photoemission, which we are currently developing.
