2DEG high mobility for quantium devices

As the examples of the quantum Hall effect  show, the physics of electronic systems becomes very rich when dimensionality, interactions and disorder are invovled. In this domain we have two research axes:

1- Two-dimensional systems in which the average energy of the electron-electron interaction is greater than the that of the kinetic energy

2- The GaAs / AlAs superlattices of quantum wires obtained by molecular epitaxy on the vicinal surface.
