Quantum simulations (SIM)
The objective of this axis is to provide answers that are inaccessible to supercomputers in order to understand the physics of systems made up of numerous interacting quantum objects. For that, we simulate the system studied by another quantum system, easier to manipulate, in order to explore geometries, configurations, parameters inaccessible with the initial system.
Applications include quantum magnetism, superconductivity, non-equilibrium quantum systems, particularly in the presence of disorder, topological phases, as well as various interfaces with astrophysics, materials, high energies and quantum chemistry.
