Open post-doctoral position in quantum simulation with arrays of Rydberg atoms

The Quantum Optics group at the Institut d’Optique (Palaiseau, France) has one post-doc position immediately available (November 2020) on its experimental project dedicated to quantum simulation of many-body problems using arrays of individual Rydberg atoms. Ongoing works aim at studying spin models to investigate out-of-equilibrium situations related to quantum magnetism and synthetic topological matter in the presence of strong interactions.

The applicant should have a strong motivation for experimental work, and should have previous experience in at least one of these area: atomic physics, quantum optics or laser cooling and trapping techniques.
